Busy days
When we got back to Taiwan last fall, we arrived to a typhoon. After staying for a bit at the grand hotel, we moved to the south part of Taipei into a temporary apartment while our “long term” apartment’s renovations were being finished.
While it was a blessing to have the short term apartment, there is something about living out of suitcases for three months that isn’t on the ideal side.
So, when we moved up to the apartment in north-Taipei, we were stoked to settle in a bit. And, not least to escape the blue-and-white candy striped furniture of the temporary place, Lana went on a shopping spree for furniture, etc… to set us all up.
Although the new place required Chi to take a 30 minute MRT ride to/from school, he seemed to enjoy it and stayed plugged in with the kids at school through extra-curricular activities like cubscouts.
As always, Hans indulged in his love for the beautiful game and ended up playing more than his share of soccer. He could never forsake his Taichung team, however, and played with them during tournaments - of which they won two all-island clashes.
On the trips down south for the tournaments, it was always a good reminder in the high speed rail stations of the appropriate usage of the toilets…
I’ll leave you with that pearl of wisdom…
